Day 1: Sunday 2 June, 2019 Mildura, Victoria
Tour members will be met at Mildura airport at 2.00pm and transferred to our hotel in Mildura. We will meet for welcome drinks and Craig and Vivi will outline their plans for the workshop, this will be followed by an included welcome dinner.

Day 2: Monday 3 June, 2019 Mildura
Mildura is a bustling regional city in an area well noted for its warm and stable weather. It features wide, tree-lined streets and is surrounded by vast numbers of wineries and fruit growing farms. Craig and Vivi will begin the painting program with a demonstration and individual teaching in the town of Mildura.

Day 3: Tuesday 4 June, 2019 Mildura
Today we travel to World Heritage listed Mungo National Park, famous for its lunar-like landscapes and aboriginal heritage. We will enjoy a tour with a local guide, including the spectacular crescent shaped Walls of China dune, which flanks part of the ancient dried-up Lake Mungo. This will be followed by a painting session.

Day 4: Wednesday 5 June, 2019 Mildura
Today we travel to Wentworth, considered the gateway to Outback NSW. Wentworth was one of Australia’s busiest ports during the paddle steamer era of the late 1800s and the great rivers of the Murray and Darling join as one here. There are countless superb subjects including many historic buildings that will keep you painting all day. Craig and Vivi will paint a demonstration and then assist workshop members with individual attention.

Day 5: Thursday 6 June, 2019 Broken Hill, NSW
This morning we travel to Broken Hill. On arrival we will have a sightseeing tour of this fascinating outback mining town, with a local guide. We will visit the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery that is the oldest regional gallery in NSW. This is a great place to see some well-known Broken Hill artists, including Pro Hart, Eric Minchin and Badger Bates, as well as works by Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri and Emily Kame Kngwarreye prior to checking into our hotel.

Day 6: Friday 7 June, 2019 Broken Hill
Today will be a full day of panting in Broken Hill with Craig and Vivi.

Day 7: Saturday 8 June, 2019 Broken Hill
Today we will travel to the fascinating old mining town of Silverton, now virtually a ghost town. We will visit the famous Silverton Hotel, which featured in the movie A Town Like Alice and various XXXX commercials. The remainder of the day will be spent painting and sketching in Silverton.

Day 8: Sunday 9 June, 2019 Broken Hill
A full day of painting and enjoyment in spectacular Broken Hill under Craig and Vivi’s helpful eye. A critique session will be held late in the afternoon.

Day 9: Monday 10 June, 2019 Broken Hill
Today we will have a day of painting at the Living Desert State Park. The park displays all the breath-taking beauty the NSW outback has to offer. One of the most memorable experiences is viewing the Living Desert Sculpture Symposium, on the highest hilltop. The sculptures are the work of 12 international artists who carved the huge sandstone blocks on-site, part of this 24-sq-km state park.

Day 10: Tuesday 11 June, 2019 Broken Hill
Our final day of painting in Broken Hill. There are many good subjects that will keep you painting all day. A final critique session will be held in the afternoon with farewell drinks, followed by our included farewell dinner.

Day 11: Wednesday 12 June, 2019 Departure
After breakfast workshop members will be transferred to Mildura airport to meet their return flights departing after 2.00pm.
